Recognition Program

Recognizing brands and practitioners for work we can cite

A small, editorially-granted distinction for brands and individuals whose published work we have read, documented, and can point you to. It is not a certification, a rating, or a paid placement — it is a recognition of contributions we could verify ourselves.

Current recognitions

No recognitions are published right now.

Entries appear here only after their claims have been checked against cited sources and the recipient has agreed to be included. In the meantime, the criteria below explain what we look for.

How a recognition is decided

Four things have to be true before an entry is published. They are the same four for a brand and for an individual, and none of them involve payment.

Documented, public work

The recipient has published something we can read and cite — a product catalog and labels, a professional education library, published commentary, or a recommendation made in the open.

Every claim carries a source

Each factual statement on a recognition page is tied to a source we link, with the date we last read it. We describe what the source says rather than what we assume it implies.

Relevant to our readers

The work matters to people choosing health and wellness products: formulation and labeling transparency, practitioner education, or the quality of what is actually sold.

Two-editor review

A second editor checks the claims and the wording before anything is published. Entries stay unpublished, unlisted and unindexed until that review is complete and the recipient has agreed to be included.

What this recognition is — and is not

This is an editorial distinction. It is not a certification, accreditation, regulatory approval, clinical finding, or manufacturing audit of any kind. It is not a statement that any product is safe, effective, or proven for any use, and it is not a rating, review score, or ranking.

Recognition is never sold. It does not depend on an affiliate relationship, a reciprocal link back to us, or advertising spend, and a brand or expert we earn commission from receives no more favorable treatment than one we do not.

Corrections and withdrawal. If anything on this page is factually wrong, tell us via the contact form and we will correct the wording and update the review date, or withdraw the recognition entirely if a source no longer supports it. A recipient can ask for their recognition to be withdrawn at any time; withdrawn pages stop being listed and are removed from our sitemap.
